Family Crafted Flavor Since 1921

The Utz Story begins in a small town kitchen in 1921. William and Salie Utz began producing Hanover Home Brand Potato Chips in Hanover, PA, in their summer kitchen, cooking about 50 pounds of chips an hour.

Today, we've grown an extraordinary amount, almost 100 years after Bill & Salie made the first batch of potato chips in their kitchen in Hanover PA, the snack capital of the world. Each day we set out to honor our century of heritage and deliver the world-class innovation & products consumers will love for generations.
